it seems like every sunday/monday i'm on here yammering about how much i drank and how stupidly i behaved. why should this post be any different? *sigh*
i braved hurricane ivan friday after work and drove to harrisonburg. i'm glad i only go to harrisonburg once a month right now, b/c hanging out with my cousin always ends up getting me into a loooooooot of trouble. saturday morning i had the most heart-breaking reunion with my darling boy bobbie at the radio station. and i mean that quite literally, i was on the verge of tears by the time i left. i had thought that after three months he would have forgotten all about me, but i was pleasantly surprised to find out that the love is still there. we cuddled and he purred for about a 1/2 hour, and made me late to meet daphane for lunch. it was nice, but i'm worried about what's going to happen to him down the road. he's such a good boy. :(
saturday afternoon was nina's wedding. everyone looked beautiful, i offered wendy loads of free advice about her own wedding, which everyone seems to think is soooo far away (next october) but i say 13 months is not a lot of time. then i looked through wendy's wedding planner, and there was no doubt in my mind that 13 months will fllllly by. oh, my little wendy getting married, this is so exciting! saturday night wendy, mike, and i met up with ashlie and the gang at the clocktower in staunton. most of the usual suspects were there, apparently we missed some classic ashlie/troy weirdness by about 15 minutes. met some lovely country boys and later that night i got to do what i do best: instill the fear of god in my friends' potential suitors. hahaha. ashlie's latest interest got an ear-full from her over-protective cousin named courtney... but he was a good sport. "i'm gonna call her, i swear to god... i really like her!!! stop glaring at me!!!" hahaha, okay it wasn't that bad... but close.
by the time everything was said and done i believe i got about 4 hours of sleep. classic. i'm hurting today. but it was a BEAUTIFUL day in the neighborhood, a perfect day for a long drive!!! even if you're driving a mini-van. speaking of which, i get my corolla back tomorrow!!!! so, if you need me to drop you off at soccar practice, you'd better let me know in the next 8 hours, b/c the van's going back!!! YAY.
i listened to DMB's "under the table and dreaming" this weekend, (largely due to some tactical errors in my packing friday morning)... it was probably the first time i've listened to that cd in about 3 years... b/c (a) i prefer their live albums, and (b) UTTD is prolly my least favorite studio album, behind "everyday"... but i am glad fate brought it my way this weekend, i had forgotten how good it really is. "pay for what you get" is such a good song. i must have listen to it on repeat about 12 times on the way home today. and, of course UTTD is the CD that brought me my "jimi thing"! yay for the dave matthews band.

Has she really lost her mind?
I said, I couldn't tell you
I've lost mine"
