it's way too hard being loved by default.

interesting weekend. not entirely good, definitely not bad. and it ended on a high note, so that's cool.
went to baltimore and then harrisonburg in the span of twelve hours. came back up to the state saturday night for what could be considered my worst night ever. big fight with the most unlikely of characters. *sigh* i love the state for all the wrong reasons, and because of that i came into work this morning and worked my entire shift, even though every bone in my body wanted to walk out with my middle finger in the air. oh well. i was too busy doing my hair and makeup in the box to pay attention to the bad seeds. why hair and makeup you ask? well....

tonight micah and i acted as seat fillers for the Mark Twain Award for American Humor gala at the KC. -- celebs, paparazzi.... it was definitely my kind of scene. :) true to form, micah and i ended up with some killer seats. we were first assigned to the fifth row, all the way over to one side, but just before the show started, we were beckoned to the 11th row, dead center! :) awesome. and, unlike some seat fillers, we didn't have to move at all during the show. it was a great night, and we looked awesome! celeb list and details can be found here:

after being put in the pretty people line for carson daly, and more recently sitting front row at carson, i've decided that micah and i are an unstoppable team! :) it's insanity!

also - i just watched this video on youtube, one of the starsailor series they're doing of their US tour. if you're interested in some good footage of the nightclub i basically lived at before i started living at the state, i'd definitely recommend it. the 930 club is legendary and amazing and overflowing with memories for me. including my DC rendevous' with my nyc hottie. ... ahem, i digress. so anyway, you can watch the video here...
