So much we take for granted

what a horrible week for world events. so disturbing, the tragedy overseas. so horrible. at least this was a natural disaster, nothing that would (hopefully) spark another war. W made a typically ridiculous statement today... [wednesday, mind you, three full days AFTER the event....] from his private ranch in texas. that's cool, W, don't feel like you need to interrupt your vacation to help out the world. no biggie. :(

on an entirely frivolous/stupid level (and i should be too ashamed to even admit this in light of recent events) but, i had a small personal triumph today as i found the christina aguilera 2005 calendar in the galleria today. very happy. and continuing on this crusade to prove how completely spoiled/shelter i truly am, i was OVERJOYED to learn that 'Lost' returns to new episodes next week!!!! so overjoyed. too bad next week they're dealing with a rising tide... sadly poignant this week.

i'm still so ready for 2005 to begin.
