he sings out a song which is soft but it’s clear

lately yusef doesn't write in his blog because he's happy, and i've been avoiding mine because i'm sad.
i've had so much to say, but no idea how to begin. some of the most important things in life never get said, usually for no good reason other than fear.
it seems that when it rains, it pours, and often a single bad event causes a ripple effect, til you're not sure which way's up anymore.

the vote for change finale accomplished many things, not the least of which is my newfound passion for REM & james taylor.

in light of one of many recent events:
