i'm sorry now, do you have to hate me?

penny, the woman who is perhaps the most genuinely nice person at my office, is out for the next six weeks having hip replacement surgery at the uncommonly young age of 35. it's changed the mood around here quite a bit, and the whole thing makes me feel very shallow for getting so dramatic over the recent turn of events in my life.

some days i'm soooo happy that we have bob here to keep me sane. he's curled up in my lap as i type this, so sweet and peaceful. it doesn't hurt that i just let him eat most of my lunch, either. ;)

i think i want to go see simon & garfunkel play in june.
