You can't go forcing something if it's just not right...

monday. blah.
i am so tired all of the time, it really doesn't matter what the day or where i am. ugh.

ATTENTION.
let's discuss attention, and the all-powerful need that some girls have for attention.

i feel like i'm surrounded by several attention-crazed girls lately, which i realize is quite ironic given the way that i am, but i honestly don't believe i take my need for attention to a negative place, unlike some people i know. (feel free to comment if you disagree)

i love attention, and i love being under a spotlight. but it has to be from the general public, on my terms, and largely positive. that is, i cannot remember being so desperate for any single person's attention that i would take my antics to a place that hurts people around me, especially people that are, or have been, signifigant to me.

i am increasingly depressed at the ability some girls have to demean their so-called "friends", or justifiy back-stabbing as "harmless". all over the attention of one or several boys; boys that often have already proven time after time how entirely pathetic they are.

ugh. there's been so much conversation around me lately about settling down versus just plain settling and it occured to me that the most common response to rejection/break-up/heartache/what have you is ... "you were too good for him/her, you need someone that will treat you the way you deserve to be treated..." but guess what? we're not all winners. we don't all treat people very well. and if you can't treat your friends well, or at least have no problem ignoring their feelings, then perhaps you *don't* deserve someone better. maybe you should just accept whatever sorry sap is dumb enough to date you.

blah. i need to get out of DC!

looking forward to tommy tuesday tomorrow!!!

"You've been searching for that someone,
and it's me out on the prowl
As you sit around feeling sorry for yourself
Don't get lonely now
And dry your whining eyes
I'm just roaming for the moment"
