in the span of 48 hours, i went from knowing virtually nothing about regina spek*tor, to owning two of her cds, to driving to baltimore on a sunday night to see her perform. this is what they call 'love at first sight'... i say sight, and not listen, because poor yusef has been singing regina's praises for nothing short of forever, and tried his damnest to make me understand how amazing she truly is. i was a fool, a damn fool, but sometimes music just has to hit you at the right moment in your life... last week fate brought regina's video for 'fidelity' into my life during a sleepless night. i instantly realized that not only is she a genius, i am seriously an idiot. so saturday i went and bought everything b&n had in stock, and then bought tickets to the baltimore show.
'twas amazing, and really fun to be back on the scene with mr. Y. "criminal!!! criminal!!! we love you tori!!!"
samson breaks my heart, but in a theraputic fashion.
i now have a wonderful regina flyer staring at my next to my computer. love it. more later, time to get the hell home!
