i'm not ready to make nice...

wow.

just heard the first single off of the new dixie chicks album (coming out may 23rd)... and i'm blown away!!! if the song wasn't amazing enough on it's own, the video is out of control!!!! i think i just watched it ten times in a row. i love the way they directly address all the anti-dixie chicks folk from 2003. you go girls!!! :) tell those rednecks to suck it!!! i'm loving it!!! definitely can't wait for the new album, and hopefully TOUR. :) (hear the first awesome single here: http://www.dixiechicks.com/ )

big changes in the world of courtney. as the deadline for my april LL approaches, i guess the biggest change is that i'm officially a full-time teacher! at least for the next two months. a rather unique opportunity presented itself to me this week, and i've decided it's the best possible solution for a girl who doesn't know what she wants from life. two solid months of working at a big salary, plus the state, will hopefully provide the finanical foundation for a nice long vacation to london in june, and then (hopefully) a move away from this crummy town!!! :)

the only bad thing about teaching full time is the 6am wake up call (we all know how i am in the mornings...) not only because it's early, but it also means an end to the near all-nighters i've been pulling lately with my new BFF. hahahaha. i think the neighbors are starting to wonder about the two crazy 25 year olds with nothing better to do than act like idiots. hahahah. 'tis good for the soul.

new LOST tomorrow!!! ROCK. rhett miller thursday night, ethan's birthday friday, and then off to harrisonburg for a LONG overdue visit!!! :) :) :)
