but! the aftermath of this weekend's insanity continues to improve... my long-lost 'life in slow motion' david gray album mysteriously reappeared on the back seat of my car! woo hoo! and some more good news from the gray camp:
David Gray will be releasing a new DVD in Ireland on March 31st and the UK on April 3rd. The DVD titled 'Live in Slow Motion' features a live concert recorded at the London Hammersmith Apollo in December 2005.
no word yet on a US release date, but i'm still a UK resident at heart anyway! hehehe. AND.... the next single is going to be 'alibi'.... which means there'll be a single/vinyl release in the UK which HOPEFULLY i'll be able to get my hands on... 'alibi' definitely took a couple listens to win me over, but now it's hands down my favorite track on the album.... soooooo good.
also - mr. gray will be the headliner at this year's Wireless Festival in Hyde Park.... *sigh* .... remember how memorable last year's Wireless was????
random aside:
if i'm being honest with myself, i have to admit i LOVE the steve martin classic 'the jerk'... and i think the scene where navin and marie are singing on the beach is one of the most sweetly romantic scenes in cinema history. hehehe.
