craaaaazzzzy weekend. defintely one of the more memorable i've had recently.
managed to actually get a saturday night free from the state to hang out with the wonderful wendy who drove up from harrisonburg. she was supposed to be bringing someone with her, but plans were changed and rearranged and the final bomb of disappointment was dropped. not totally surprising but definitely disappointing. ((((what have we learned? [or rather, re-learned since i first learned this all in 2004]... well, #1: never, ever, date anyone from the shenandoah valley area... there's something in the air there that sucks normality out of people... and #2: just because a boy can fool a group of uninterested shen. valley girls into thinking he's anything less than a complete loser doesn't mean it's true... and #3: anyone who's over 25 and playing DDR to be anything other than ironic is just sad..... on a side note, if it weren't for my grandfather and mr. matthews i would have to declare all 'boys named dave' to be totally worthless, what with the DJ, IB, my brother, and this recent adventure,.... *sigh*))))) but good riddance to bad rubbish.
so saturday night, after realizing i could not let one simple moron ruin my night, wendy and i started to get alllllllll glammed up... headed out to a realllllly late dinner and then over to the state. wendy and my newly-single manager lucho had had a phone conversation the weekend before and he was anxious to see if she was as foxy as me. hehehe. ;) there was a totally un-funny comedian on the stage but watching my other hottie manager pete crack up at the un-funny jokes was hilarious enough. had a couple drinks made by lucho-cha-cha himself before fratty joined us and ended the fun-single-girl atmosphere. headed out to adams morgan to meet the Rash & diners but not before i stated loud and proud just how hot i found the state's management to be. ugh, so much for professional politeness!!! hehehe.
went to our usual haunt in adam's morgan, which turned out to be the most crowded place in creation. realized my phone was blowing up and eventually met the Rash. after closing down the place we headed on to the next part of the adventure. had to leave fratty out in the cold, but at the time it seemed logical enough. had a lovely run-in with the law, but luckily the DC officers seemed to have better things to do. two adams morgan hours later i found myself making a desperate plea of help to lucho, and luckily he came through like a charm. hehehe. i'm pretty sure there's no doubt just how wonderful i think he truly is. unfortunately, the state's staff is very small and close, so going to work on sunday could definitely be compared to a walk of shame. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh well. pete said this will be considered a first offense... next time i'm going to be grounded. hehehe.
anyway, busy busy week ahead. work, interviews, and birthdays, oh my!
