but loneliness - it wears me out

went to tower after work in a post-VFC finale haze and managed to spend $70. (stop it, courtney!!) but i got some good stuff - the bonnie mckee CD, the new social, D... and, of course, the Xtina DVD... [and i must add, any girl that can brave asking the hot tower clerks why the hell the new Xtina DVD isn't on the shelves and then insisting someone go get it out of the backroom is a *TRUE* fan!]

i also got the new REM cd. after monday night, i'm just a little bit in love with mr. stipe. so jealous that yusef got to meet him back in october. i wasn't horribly jealous IN october, but i'm experiencing some hardcore belated pangs of jealousy now.

i'm waiting for some good pictures to emerge from the show. there were some on the washington post site, but not enough. i still haven't fully recovered from the whole night - it was too amazing to get over in less than 2 weeks.

i've always had my issues with the whole DC metro area in general, but last night when i drove out of DC and got home 25 minutes later, i did think to myself how lucky i am to live where i live. loooooooove good concerts!

i think i hate my job. the jury's still out, but all signs are pointing to a very short life span.

haven't talked about the weekend yet, good times - old friends, harrisonburg, and sara & steve's wedding. more details to follow.
