'p h a t' or 'f a t'?

GOOD LORD.

what a weekend. this could possibly be the longest blog post EVER.
too much to say and many many things i probably shouldn't say.
the short version:
friday - liz phair concert at the 9.30 club.
saturday - laziest day ever and then 'donnie darko' at midnight with tray-z.
sunday - shopping with kasey and then a drinking extravaganza that carried on til 7AM monday morning.
monday - 2nd laziest day ever, watching tv and trying to make sense of sunday night, then a movie that was entirely too long for hangover day.
the long version:
friday at work was quite possibly the most boring day ever, and endlessly long. bolted to the 9.30 club after work and cut to the front of the line with toni & shannon. so nice to cut to the front of the line. we were pleasantly surprised to learn that there was no barricade in front of the stage, so my purse rested safely next to liz's speaker the whole night, we were uncomfortably close to the action! LOVE THAT. :) never met up with chris, only to learn from yusef that he didn't make it. charlotte martin was very good, a young, blonde tori amos who was not afraid to tell the audience to shut up and listen to her play. katy rose wasn't to my liking, and cardigans were surprisingly enjoyable. ms. liz took the stage just after 11pm, and played every song i could have wished to hear. 'polyester bride' was amazing, and i think ms. phair was a little amused by the overly-zealous nature of her fans in the front row. i met a lot of cool kids that night, and gladly let charlotte martin and the cardigans' #1 fans take my spot to watch their favorites, on the condition that i got my space back for the lovely liz.
toni, shannon, and i got home around 3am, at which point i entered a coma that i barely roused from to say goodbye to them the next morning.
after literally laying in bed the entire day, i showered around 8pm to meet up with tray-z for the midnight showing of 'donnie darko' at visions cinema. LOVE visions cinema, btw. very cool. there was a keg IN the theatre... that's never a bad thing.

ugh, sorry kids, but i'm much too sick from last night to get into the inevitably long narrative regarding it. sneak preview of the perfect sunday night: alcohol, shopping, alcohol, food, alcohol, R.Kelly, alcohol, HICKEYS.

hahaha. someone got a hickey and that story MUST be told. tomorrow. ;~)

(i'll kill the suspense, though, and clarify that i am NOT the current hickey holder.)
