feeling the things that i can't describe

yet another fabulous weekend. so much drinking. so much debauchery.

friday night i drove through the pouring rain to ashley's wedding in haymarket. i must admit, that even i, the ice queen, got a little choked-up when she came down the aisle. she looked AMAZING. the whole wedding could not have gone more perfectly in my opinion. at the reception i had a chance to catch up with the other courtney, which was nice. just as the evening was drawing to a close the DJ played xtina's 'fighter' and everyone was dancing like crazy. even ashley in her wedding dress.

funniest moment of the night was about an hour into the open bar when celine dion's "have you ever been in love?" and we all started discussing the question in a very very serious manner. (sadly i was the only one at the table who has never been in love.) but it was still hilarious how incredibly serious we were discussing it.

saturday afternoon i went with my mom to take pictures of my sister and her prom group and we ended up being there FOREVER b/c their limo was late.... she looked great and had a cute date so good for her.

saturday night i met up with kasey to have margaritas at her place before meeting up with marie and her sister at la tasca. (have i mentioned how much i LOVE kasey's apartment???? 'tis ridiculously cute.) i talked to jefferson long enough to determine that that bastard anthony did INDEED get my ransom note back in umm... FEBRUARY?!! bastard. whatever, i'm starting my OWN banned list.... and anthony j will be the offical sponsor.

so anyway, kasey, marie and i ended up at mr. days purely for lack of desire to go anywhere else. after waiting an obscenely long time to get in, we instantly determined that we picked the wrong bar. oh well. we failed to fool one group of boys with our fake names, although i'm placing the blame squarely on marie. i mean, who in the world is named sophie????? this isn't 1924.

i got into an argument with one guy b/c he refused to admit that he found britney spears attractive ... it annoyed me because his refusal to admit britney's attractiveness prohibited me from convincing him that christina aguilera is actually more attractive. but whatever, he was a moron anyway. like kasey said, anyone who claims to work for the fbi doesn't actually work for the fbi.

kasey and i went back to her place to pass out but not before attempting to take a cosmo quiz at 3AM. "oh no, there's MATH." haha. sunday, after a little bit of shrek, we met her friend sarah for lunch at cosi. 'twas delicious, and after sharing some of my recent adventures, i think i made sarah feel considerably less insane about her personal decisions. :) haha.

the irish boy interrupted lunch to tell me that the cd i sent him had arrived. i could barely hear what he was saying, but summed it up to being in a public place trying to talk to someone with an accent. then, about 40 minutes later, i talked to tina and couldn't understand a damn word she was saying either so now i'm *seriously* concerned about my hearing. deaf at the age of 23!!!! so sad.

[good god i had an interesting weekend, look how much i've written and i still haven't gotten to sunday afternoon!]

SUNDAY AFTERNOON... :) i went to see the stepford wives with my mom and sister. i thought it was hilarious but they didn't like it much.
of course, we had to go to the theatre next to tower records so i went there before coming back to harrisonburg. i know i'm broke, but somehow i managed to spend almost $60. it's like, why do i bother? *i am rich with music*
i got the first shrek soundtrack again b/c i can find my copy and i was dying to hear rufus' 'hallejuah' (why can't i SPELL?)... got the jesse malin cd.... got the gavin cd for a co-worker... a couple magazines, including Relix which has a really good damien rice review. i can't believe i missed bonarroo!!!!

sunday night i got a FABULOUS message from mr. yusef with a clip of 'nothing fails' LIVE from the madonna concert at the mci center. SOOOOOO GOOOD. i listened to it about 27 times last night. THANK YOU!!!! :)
