If I could be, wasting my time with you

well the dream is over for the phish fans. i'm actually really surprised. and indirectly concerned. (i'm experiencing a taste of what yusef and shannon are feeling with the cranberries.) at least phish told their fans before tour season, so the hardcores can go to every show they possibly can. if DMB announced they were breaking up after this summer's tour, you can be SURE that i would be at every SINGLE POSSIBLE show. without doubt. and, i'm sure there'll be a reunion tour in like, 2010 or something.

while i've been a long-time non-fan of phish, i must say i have tremendous respect for their music and their fan-base. the dave matthews solo album forced me to realize trey's talent, and i'm impressed. i have one phish album... farmhouse, i think??? it's very good. i dunno, i just never really got into phish.

in unrelated news, fleetwood mac cancelled their nissan show that was supposed to be happening tonight. my boss dennis is very upset. i tried to convince him that i know what he's going through b/c of Christina Aguilera but he didn't seem to think it was the same thing. whatever, i think my pain is worse.

speaking of which, i had a long, embarassingly-serious conversation about the Christina situation with Rania, one of Claire's friends the other night. she believed she was as much of a fan as i am, until i started questioning her knowledge of Christina's music en espanol. or should i say, her LACK of knowledge... that's right... ven conmigo baby... solomente tu!

i've been reading a lot about the madonna tour kick-off. certain people seem to believe that there's no possible way i'll get a scalped ticket if i just go to the show at the mci center. i think i can. only time will tell. i just want to hear 'nothing fails' : "i'm not religious, but i feel so moved... makes me wanna pray...." [for a madonna ticket.] ;)
